Grand Valley Horse Rescue needs $57,720 to survive until December 31, 2026. Because of the drought, cost of diesel and fertilizer, GVHR’s hay prices have increased for the first time since 2018. The budget of $57,720 includes $22,000 for hay.
The remaining budget items include $10,000 for board, $6,650 veterinary services, $4,950 for farrier services, $4,500 for feed, vehicle & trailer insurance with tags for $1,400 (due August 18), sawdust for $1,000, porta-loo for $500, administrative costs for $1,820, equine assist weekend for $400, ride to meet Santa, $1,500 and deposit needed bingo for $3,000.
